The Superior Industrial EDGE handrail system is extremely strong due to its one piece rotomoulded polyethylene construction, and is highly resistant to harsh climatic and industrial conditions including rust, corrosion, fuel and acid.  It is lightweight, odourless and inert with a UV11 rating. Standing at 1.0 metre high and available in a range of colours (including high visibility), the EDGE complies with Australian standard AS1657.  It can be easily installed in minutes, the aluminium or stainless-steel handrail inserts come with end caps which seal out water or debris and quick adaption of kick rail simply requires 4 bolts.  No alteration of the existing structure is required as the EDGE will attach to existing location points.  The stanchion has been rigorously tested including FEA analysis. 
 
The innovative handrail system is manufactured at Superior’s rotomoulding facility on the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia.  The range includes: 
  • EDGE I is designed for industrial use with rotomoulded end caps to allow articulation every 3 metres and with top, mid and kick rails.
  • EDGE II is manufactured using rotomoulded stanchions to support eight horizontal pipe rails providing a visually appealing and cost effective solution.
  • EDGE III is a standard vertical handrail system with top, middle and kick plate rails complete with end cap option. The reinforced baseplate will attach to any flat surface.

Yes. Aluminium handrail inserts are available for the Edge handrail system, offering strong corrosion resistance for harsh industrial environments. Inserts are fitted with end caps that seal out water and debris.

The Edge handrail system attaches directly to existing location points using just four bolts, with no alteration required to the existing structure. This allows installation to be completed in minutes rather than days.

Superior Industrial offers three configurations. Edge I includes rotomoulded end caps for articulation every 3 metres with top, mid and kick rails. Edge II uses rotomoulded stanchions to support eight horizontal pipe rails. Edge III is a standard vertical handrail system with top, middle and kick plate rails and an end cap option.
